I am very happy today!!!

Jonathan Safran Foer has a new book coming out in November. It's called 'Eating Animals' and it's about his and his wife's decision to raise their children as vegetarians. (makes me feel instant guilt for eating chicken and fish). I just read his article from the New York Times which is adapted from the book.
I really good read.

He is an amazing writer and it's so effortless. Like he's just having a conversation with you.
*sigh*
He's gotta be on the top five of coolest people ever. I even like the way he says "ostensibly"
i know what i want for christmas.
Here is the link to the trailer for the book.

This will break your heart in the nicest way...

This kills me.

It's real though.

There are so many perfumes I want to try.

with scents titled 'burning leaves', 'memory of kindness', 'i am a dandelion', 'winter 1972', 'mr. hulot's holiday', 'just breathe', 'in the summer kitchen' and 'gathering apples' (amongst others) i'm overwhelmed at wanting to buy them all.

A great little site dedicated to the making of Spike Jones' 'Where The Wild Things Are'. Has been updated with lots of photos...most recently, 'Where The Wild Things Are' sleepover parties, dance parties, screening parties etc. It's pretty awesome.

These are the nappy covers/pilchers that we (me and Graeme) for our little company Nonna's Ark.
For little people aged 3-6 months old. Working on dresses and smaller sized nappy covers/pilchers.
Currently stocked at Shorties in Newtown...other 'burbs to follow.
Our website is under construction. if you'd like a pair wholesale, let me know.
I buy a lot of books online.
The best book website I've found so far, is
http://www.booko.com.au/

they compare all the bookstores together in one place....you type in what you're looking for and *bing* up comes all the shops that have it in order of cheapest to most expensive.
handy.

I love this picture. It's from the website www.learningtoloveyoumore.com The website no longer takes submissions however, it's now set up as an archive.
This admission was from a guy named Filip. The assignment was to "create an encouraging banner". I thought this banner was the best one. and there were SO many.
Miranda July is closely affiliated with this website. I think she is pretty awesome.

I mean, how cool is this really? It's a RUG.
This is outrageously cool.
As far as I know, they're available from a Japanese website.

the name says it all really.
you can read it online at:

Here is the Kermit doll I just got for her on Ebay. He's vintage from 1976. Utterly the real deal.
Woo.

We're thinking of getting her one of these as her "big" present. She's at the right age to use them (they're for 2-5 year olds). jury is still out. they retail for about $119.50 at ELC stores.

Mobilo. A slice of Grae's childhood. She plays with it at daycare and loves it. another Ebay purchase.

The mushroom fan.
More of a cutesy joke present really.
Will look nice in her room.

This is the book that arrived from Ebay yesterday!!! It's in really good condition and I only paid 8 bucks. I think she'll really like it...she keeps making me do the voices for Kermit and Gonzo.
